Gravestone

Gravestone made from carved insulation foam, distressed using hot knives, adhesive spray, and Jaxsan.

Step 1

Drew out shape of gravestone and placement of letters. Used round hot knife to carve semi-circle and pointed half knife to carve letters.

Step 2

Distressed foam using hot knives, sculpting tools, and adhesive spray. Adhered sculpted skull and paintbrushes to semi-circle.

Step 6

Paint shadows and highlights on the moss.
