About Me

Alexis Wilner (she/her) is a scenic designer and props artisan from New Jersey. She is a graduate of Syracuse University with a Bachelor of Science in Drama. Her scenic design credits include Lungs and The Droll at Syracuse University’s Department of Drama and assistant scenic designer for A Christmas Carol at Syracuse Stage. She has also worked as a general theatre technician at Berkshire Theatre Group, scenic, paints, and props apprentice at Trinity Repertory Company, props artisan at Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival, and props apprentice at The Juilliard School. She is currently the props artisan at Two River Theater, working on the world premiere of Elephant Shoes, a co-production with Deaf West Theatre.

Alexis is also a proud arts accessibility advocate. In 2022, Alexis served as the community engagement intern for the world premiere of "How to Dance in Ohio," before its transfer to Broadway. Her Renée Crown University Honors thesis, centered on accessibility for disabled theatre artists in the US, was awarded the David Orlin Prize for Overall Outstanding Thesis Project. Her research has been published in the industry journal, HowlRound Theatre Commons, and presented abroad at the University of Birmingham, England. As a disabled artist, Alexis hopes to combine her theatrical endeavors and advocacy work to create a more accessible industry.

Alexis is always excited to learn about new projects! Please reach out via email or LinkedIn to chat. Her resumes are listed below.
